Behind the scenes

Host Destination is a drama fantasy short film, about a parallel narrative between Katerina and Sloane, who are from two very different worlds, and have their worlds converge by one moment in time.
Katerina is an artist living on Earth who chooses to terminate her unplanned pregnancy. In another world, we meet Sloane, a consciousness awaiting in the Cosmos for their flight to Earth and to meet their assigned host Katerina. Sloane’s journey to Earth is shortly delayed but this isn’t the end of their story.
This film has been an important one for us as creatives to tell due to the contemporary issues around the world on abortion and female bodily autonomy. We take pride in our work of utilising the fantasy/sci-fi genre to tell this story in a compelling and sensitive way.
