Matriarch Pictures, emerged as Eleni grew her own independent work and was formed to be able to continue to create and collaborate with like-minded individuals.
Matriarch Pictures is driven by a passion for authentic storytelling, and creating stories that portray women in the most authentic way, by exploring the complexities of characters through playing with unconventional genres and storylines.
This is an independent production company and employs freelance creatives to bring stories and projects to life. The type of projects included social media content, commercials, music videos, short form narrative and documentary, episodic and videography.
Other services related to post-production, editing, sound design, music composition and visual effects are included but may be outsourced with Matriarch Pictures trusted affiliated collaborators.
We believe in transparency from the start. All service quotes will clearly outline and include any additional affiliated services that your project may require. This is to ensure your project is completed to be the highest quality possible.
If your project is beyond the scope of Matriarch Pictures, rest assured we will never commit to something it cannot deliver.
Matriarch Pictures values inclusivity and authentic storytelling. We believe that we need to see better representation on screen, but sometimes this can be intimidating to approach. But the only way forward is being okay with not knowing it all and making the effort to be inclusive. We have a non-judgemental approach, but rather we acknowledge the barriers or fear around diverse storytelling.
Gatekeeping, this kind of access, only further adds to the issues of poor representation on screen.
Eleni has the expertise and connections to support you facilitate diverse stories and content, and it against the bias surrounding this does not take more time or money.
If you are planning on creating a project that depicts the experience of culturally diverse ethnicity groups, disability, LGBTQIA+ or First Nations, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will support projects that have a key creative from that group involved and undertaking any additional external consultations or a ready and committed to finding a key creative and if necessary consultations for their project.
We are experienced in sourcing diverse people and consultations from these communities, please reach out if you require any refferals or recommendations to support your project.

Matriarch Pictures believes in the power of storytelling, therefore occasionally has capacity for any projects with limited budgets and offers low or contra based deals. This would include a creative partnership and would require input from Matriarch Pictures on creative decision-making.
