A drama/sci-fi exploring ‘what do we really learn when we aren’t alone in the universe?’
Following an alien abduction, Elliot is taken aboard an extra-terrestrial ship and analyzed by Atticus, a friendly visitor from another world. As Atticus seeks to converse and learn about human life, Elliot may discover more about herself than she initially realizes.
Characters
ELLIOT – Female Lead
Grieving the recent loss of her only parent, Elliot has closed herself off from the world. She uses humour and sarcasm as a defence mechanism. Living alone as an only child, she is isolated and avoids socializing or inviting others into her life. Elliot’s attachment to her father and the regret of being unable to say goodbye has prevented her from forming meaningful connections. She approaches life with a lack of seriousness and scepticism, including the idea of being abducted by aliens.
ATTICUS – Lead
Atticus is an alien of unknown origin who is unfamiliar with human customs and social situations. They are eager to learn and understand human concepts through conversations with Elliot. While not naturally compassionate or understanding, Atticus strives to become more empathetic. Their species has an exceptionally long lifespan, and they explore the universe to better understand concepts such as life, mortality, love, relationships, family, and friendship. Atticus specifically selects Elliot as a means to grasp these alien ideas.
